Budding artists are being asked to create a new logo for a charity that supports young people in Pocklington and the surrounding area.
Sainsbury’s in Pocklington has chosen Young People Count as its charity of the year. The store and the charity are now encouraging young people aged 11-18 years to get creative and design a logo, with the best design to be used as the charity’s logo.
Melina Healy from Pocklington’s Sainsbury’s said: “We are calling out to all you budding artists out there to help us come up with a great new logo for this fantastic new charity.”
All designs must be in by 18 August. The winner will be announced by 21 August. Please hand designs into the store, on The Balk, or alternatively send them to Sainsbury’s Supermarket Ltd, The Balk, Pocklington, York, YO42 2GG.
In May this year, Young People Count, which was set up more than a year ago, opened a youth cafe and drop-in centre for 11-18-year-olds at the former Oddfellows pub on Union Street.
