A decision on whether Market Weighton Fire Station will lose one of its two fire engines has been deferred to a later date.
Humberside Fire Authority held a meeting on Monday, but members decided to defer making a decision on what cuts it plans to make.
With budget cuts looming, the authority is looking to save £2.2 million by 2019/20.
The Cliffe Road station in Market Weighton is one of six which could face cuts and lose an engine.
The options available to the authority include merging Immingham East/West Fire Stations and removing one full-time fire engine from immingham. This was the recommendation of deputy chief fire officer Chris Blacksell in his report to the authority for Monday’s meeting.
