The Dad’s Army film – which was shot in location in North Yorkshire and the East Coast – gets its regional premiere at Bridlington Spa two days ahead of its general release nationwide.
The movie will be screened on Wednesday February 3. Doors open at 7pm.
Shot at a number of locations in Yorkshire, including Cloughton, Ryedale, Beverley, Bridlington, including the Old Town, Flamborough and Whitby, residents and visitors flocked to catch a glimpse of filming in action.
The sitcom features stars include Bill Nighy, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Toby Jones, Michael Gambon, Tom Courtenay, Blake Harrison and Bill Paterson. Some of the crew and stars stayed in Scarborough during the filming, with Nighy strolling around Scarborough and Zeta-Jones shopping in Whitby.
The Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard patrol the Dover coast in the event of a beach invasion. Set in 1944, filming of the sitcom began in Yorkshire in October 2014.
People from North Yorkshire also feature in the film, including a Scout group from Pickering taking parting.
Dad’s Army will premiere at the Odeon Leicester Square, London on January 26 – and be in cinemas from February 5.
This includes Bridlington Forum, Hollywood Plaza, Scarborough, Pocklington Arts Centre and Parkway, Beverley.
The Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough, is screening the film from Monday February 22 until Wednesday March 2.
It is on at the Pavilion in Whitby from February 19 to February 25.
