Plans to build 44 new houses in Wilberfoss will go before East Riding Council’s planning committee on Thursday (16 July), and dozens of households have objected to the scheme.
The planning application, submitted by Persimmon Homes, is for full planning permission to build 44 houses on land north of Windmill Meadows. Wilberfoss Parish Council has a number of concerns, and says the access road to the site is “limiting.”
East Riding Council has received objections or comments from 10 properties in Wilberfoss and identical letters of objection or petition from 56 properties in the village against the plans.
East Riding Council’s director of planning and economic regeneration Alan Menzies has recommended that the planning committee defer the application for confirmation from the lead local flood authority that it is satisfied with the scheme and for the completion of a section 106 agreement to secure affordable housing on the site. Once a section 106 agreement has been completed, Mr Menzies will be authorised to grant planning permission subject to a number of conditions.
