A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the man who is alleged to have slashed car tyres in Pocklington.
Julian Glew, 45, failed to attend his hearing at Beverley Magistrates’ Court today (14 October) at 10am and now a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Glew, 45, of no fixed abode, originally appeared in custody at Hull Magistrates’ Court on 21 September and pleaded guilty to three charges of criminal damage.
Glew was arrested on 19 September in Pocklington Woods, near Chapel Hill Road, Pocklington. Police were investigating reports of a series of car attacks with no apparent motive or connection between them.
Police confirmed that 190 car tyres were slashed and damaged last month in Pocklington. The town council estimated that the spree caused about £20,000 of damage.
