Thieves target car parks across region

Car parks across the East Riding, including Pocklington and South Cave, have been targeted by thieves, prompting police to urge residents and visitors not to keep valuable items in their cars.

Cars have been broken into for very low value items, such as a packet of cigarettes and loose change.

The car parks targeted include hotels, leisure facilities, public houses as well as busy town centre car parks.

As the police are seeing a rise in reported car break-ins in the area, they are reminding car owners to “beware, clear your car of all temptation.”
