Police issue appeal after attempted break-in at Market Weighton
Police officers are appealing for information following an attempted break-in at Market Weighton.
The incident happened between 1am and 4am on Monday, May 10 in the Londesborough Road area.
A police spokesman said: “Between 1am and 4am on Monday, May 10, there was an attempted burglary in the area of Londesborough Road.
“Offenders have caused damage to the front door handle while trying to force entry to a residential address.
“However they were stopped by the inner chain being on the door, meaning no entry was gained.
“The external door handle was left hanging and damage was caused to the inner door chain.
“If you witness any suspicious activity, please contact the Humberside Police non-emergency number 101.”
