Merchant Navy Suez Campaign medal among items stolen from bungalow

A Merchant Navy Suez Campaign medal has been stolen in a burglary at a bungalow in Pocklington.

The property on Algarth Rise was broken into between Tuesday 22 and Sunday 27 April. The elderly homeowner was not in the premises at the time of the incident.

As well as the medal, items reported stolen from the premises includes two jewellery boxes containing a quantity of jewellery and watches, an antique piano stool, piano sheet music, HIFI equipment, a steam cleaner, a remote control helicopter, cased cine projector and a Sports Master 22 air rifle.

Humberside Police officers investigating the case are asking for anyone with information about the burglary or anyone who may have been offered any of the items listed, to contact them immediately quoting crime reference CJ/2041444/14. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
