POLICE are searching for a woman who took £50 from a self-service till at Market Weighton’s Asda store.

They have released these CCTV images of a woman they want to speak to in connection with the incident, which happened at 1.50pm on Tuesday 7 February.

A customer had used the self-service till to buy goods from the store.

Having then requested £50 cash-back from the till, the customer - who was also an employee of the store - left the shop without taking the money.

A woman was seen at the till a very short time after. She is said to have seen the unclaimed money, looked around and then picked up the cash, leaving the store without making any attempt to hand the money in to staff.

She is described as white, in her early 40s, 5ft 8in, slim and with dark hair.

She was wearing a black jacket and jeans which were tucked into purple/mauve coloured boots.

If anyone is able to identify the woman or has any information in connection with the incident, they are asked to call Humberside Police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime number 1889671.
