Villagers in Fangfoss held a celebration of traditional crafts at the weekend.
The village held its 15th annual Fangfest festival, which saw a number of businesses in the village open their doors to the public last Saturday and Sunday.
These included Fangfoss Pottery, The Rocking Horse Shop and Harry Postill Furniture, who gave demonstrations on pottery, painting and carving.
The event featured a craft marquee with locally handmade items, live music, fairground rides archery, clay pigeon shooting and a classic car rally.
There was also a mini beer festival on the village green for drinkers to enjoy. with a special brew on offer, called ‘Fangfest Ale’, made by Pocklington’s Brass Castle Brewery,
Lyn Grant, from Fangfoss Pottery, said: “I think it has been the best yet. It’s a big boost for the local economy.”
