It’s an exciting year ahead for the Driffield Showground - with several brand new events taking place throughout the year as well as the ‘must go to’ favourites to which everyon that everyone has become accustomed.

In order to celebrate the new events, the start of the year saw the Driffield Agricultural Society launch an exciting new Members’ package for individuals subscribing to membership of the Society.

As in past years, members will continue to receive entry to the Driffield Show and to the Members Enclosure as part of their membership.

But they will now also have the added benefit of receiving a membership card - and production of that card will give them the opportunity to take advantage of some exciting discounts that have been negotiated with local businesses.

Details of promotions and discounts will appear in the Society newsletter which will be published quarterly.

The membership card will also allow discounts to some events taking place at the Showground - including the forthcoming Motor Show taking place at the Showground on May 25 and 26.

Cheryl Nicholson, Society Manager said: “We are grateful to everyone who supports us at the Showground and to show our appreciate we wanted to put together a membership package that would benefit our members whilst they are supporting us”.

To allow as many people as possible to take advantage of the new package, the Driffield Agricultural Society will be extending their discounted membership period until the end of April.

Adult memberships paid prior to April 30 remain at only £21 per person (increasing to £29 per person from the May 1).

Young Persons membership (17 to 21 years old) remains at only £12 and Junior Membership (16 years and under) remains only £7.

* This year’s Driffield Show takes place on Wednesday July 17 at the showground at Kelleythorpe. The Driffield Times and Post are once again official media partners for the event and will be producing a special supplement showcasing the attractions and the traders who will be on display at the annual extravaganza.
