East Riding Council has confirmed there are plans to build a 3G all-weather pitch in Pocklington.

The authority says it is working with Pocklington rugby and football clubs, as well as Woldgate College and the town council, to try to find the most suitable location for the community facility in the town.

A spokesperson for East Riding Council said: “Funding for the pitch would be dependent on the successful completion of a Section 106 Agreement relating to the proposed development of land north of Mayfields.

“Any new pitch would also require other external sources of funding, and the council is currently in negotiations to see what other sources may be available.”
