Pocklington Arts Centre has pulled off a double coup after bagging two top comedians to appear at the venue later this year.
Patrick Kielty and Jenny Eclair are the latest stars on the comedy circuit to agree to perform at the Arts Centre.
Kielty will take to the venue’s stage on 31 October, while Eclair will entertain crowds in Pocklington on 6 November.
Northern Irish comedian Kielty has appeared on Live At The Apollo and Dave’s One Night Stand and hosted of The BBC New Comedy Awards. His new show ‘Help’ attempts to write a modern rulebook for love, life and happiness.
Eclair has performed at the Arts Centre on more than one occasion, most recently in 2011. Her latest tour is called ‘How To Be A Middle Aged Woman (Without Going Insane)’.
The Arts Centre’s manager Janet Farmer said: “We are extremely pleased to have secured a date with Patrick on his new tour. Over the last 12 months we have built up a fantastic working relationship with his agent who also represents past Pocklington Arts Centre performers Dylan Moran and Tommy Tiernan, both of these performers sold out and we expect the same for this event.
“In recent years Patrick has worked as a broadcaster on both national television and radio, so it will be interesting to see what the new show is like and the reception it receives.
She added: “Jenny has performed at the venue on several occasions in recent years with all of her performances selling out. We expect tickets to sell very quickly for her show in November so advance booking is advised.”
Tickets to see Kielty cost £17 for adults and £15 for concessions. Tickets to watch Eclair live at the Arts Centre cost £17.50.
