Pocklington Dolphins member Viviana Mayman was thrilled to take possession of the commemorative coin she designed to celebrate the club’s 50th anniversary.

A competition was held for all members of the club and Viviana’s entry was judged to be the best. Her design has now been used for one side of the coin with the club’s logo on the other. Every current member of the club will be given a coin to mark the Golden anniversary, taking place over the weekend of the 11/12th July. Some coins will also be available to purchase over the weekend at a number of planned events.

On Saturday 11 July, a swimming gala for past members is being held at Francis Scaife leisure centre which is also celebrating its 50th year. In the evening the club are holding a hog roast event with bands and a disco and on Sunday 12 July, there will be a fun gala for all current members.
