A tree-mendous festival is set to be held at a village church.
Barmby Moor’s first Christmas tree festival will be held at St Catherine’s Church this month. More than 20 trees are being decorated to represent themes from Christmas carols, songs and stories. The event is designed to appeal to all ages. The church will be open at the following times:
Saturday (12 December) - 1–5.30pm
Sunday (13 December) - 1.30-3.30pm. Carol service at 4pm
Monday to Friday (14-18 December) - 3.30-5.30pm
19 December - 2–5.30pm
20 December - 1.30-4pm
Najla Bartlett, one of the festival’s organisers, said: “It promises to be a magical and sparkling introduction to the festive season.
“Local businesses, individuals, and other organisations have sponsored the event, and we have a group of talented and artistic volunteers, including the children of Barmby Moor school, to decorate the trees.”
