Stamford Bridge Community Choir’s festive season of performances began by supporting the celebrations for the village ‘Lights On’ event in The Square at Stamford Bridge.

In between rousing performances from York Railway Institute Development Brass Band, the choir sang a selection of traditional and modern Christmas carols and songs.

The music was then brought to a close with beautiful singing by Stamford Bridge Primary School Choir before Santa arrived to turn on the lights.

The choir is singing for Macmillan York at SPARK: York on Piccadilly 1pm to 3pm on Saturday (15 December), supporting the St John’ Church Carol Service in Stamford Bridge on Sunday (16 December) at 6.30pm and then at the Carol Service at All Saints Church Low Catton on Wednesday 19 December – 7pm to 8pm.
