ENQUIRIES are being made by police about the theft of drugs from a chemist in Stamford Bridge.
The drugs were stolen from a bin in the rear yard which is used to store medicines due for disposal. It is believed someone reached into the premises and stole a large, thick yellow medicine bag which contained a quantity of medicines – some of which may have been out-of-date.
The incident occurred between 6pm on Wednesday, 11 May and 9am the next day.
Local officers are asking for help from the public for any information relating to this theft.
Police are warning the public of the dangers of taking prescription drugs that have not been specifically prescribed to you, and are advising anyone that may come across this bag of medicines to hand it in immediately at the nearest police station or chemist.
