The Pocklington and District Branch of the British Heart Foundation held its annual golf day on Friday, June 19, at The Oaks Golf Club.
The day was a huge success and they raised £2,100.
It was very close competition and the winners were Carolyn Pearce, Grant Pearce, Stuart Pearce and Alistair Jozefowicz with 85 points. Second place with 84 points (countback 9 – 42 B4 – 22) were David Rowley, Ben Medhurst, David Burks and Kevin Cadwallander. Third place with 84 points (B9 – 42 B4 – 20) was Howard Barrick, Micheal Clithero, Nigel Firn and Geoff Scott. Fourth place with 84 points (B9 – 41) was Stuart Morley, Eddie Rudduck, Nigel Tomlinson, Maurice Camacho.
Nearest the pin for the ladies was won by Joy Biggin and the men’s nearest the pin was won by Geoff Scott.
The longest drive for the ladies was won by Carolyn Pearce and the men’s was awarded to Daniel Spofforth.
The branch would like to thank everyone who helped to raise this fantastic amount including the Oaks for their great hospitality.
