Burnby Hall and Gardens is putting the finishing touches to its first ever tulip festival this weekend, defying the unusual weather cursing gardeners this spring.
The festival starts this Saturday, with visitors welcome to drop by and admire the around 14,000 tulips which form the impressive displays.
It looked touch and go for Burnby Hall’s Tulip Festival earlier this year, with temperatures delaying the arrival of the flowers, forcing organisers to postpone the event.
Now though with temperatures returning to normal for this time of year, the hardy plants make for an impressive site at Burnby Hall.
