Police are urging residents to keep their houses secure in the hot weather following a burglary at a house in Nunburnholme last Friday.
The incident happened between 6.30am and 2.30pm with the criminal(s) entering the property through an insecure bathroom window.
Cash and a laptop were taken from the house. Police warn that although it may be tempting to leave windows and doors open in the hot weather, it can leave your house vulnerable to criminals.
