The owners of a Pocklington art gallery are hoping their latest bird themed exhibition will be a high-flying success.
The exhibition at Art and Rose on Market Street is called Flight Feathers, and features sculptures, paintings and mixed media, created by 15 local artists.
The exhibition opened with a preview event last Monday, attended by around 30 people and gallery manager Emma Jane Whelan says she has received good feedback.
She said: “Every year I publicise the exhibition themes for the next 12 months and I picked birds because I know a lot of our local artists like to create pieces focussing on theses animals.
“There is definitely a lot of artistic talent locally and I am particularly happy to exhibiting work by Andrew Pepworth, maybe this exhibition can be a launch pad for him.
“The large selection of pieces has something to suit all pockets so hopefully we can get lots of people down here.”
The Flight Feathers exhibition will run at the Art and Rose Gallery until 24 May.
