Multi-million-pound plans to build 77 new houses off Burnby Lane in Pocklington have been announced by Barratt.
The developer had originally hoped to build 600 new homes and a 60-bed care home on the site, to the east of Nine Acres, and on a much larger site next to it off Kilnwick Road.
However, East Riding Council dealt a severe blow to Barratt’s proposals when it published its draft Local Plan late last year, which revealed that the larger site (POC7) had been rejected as one of the areas allocated for development across the county.
However, the smaller site (POC8) was allocated for development.
This is the planned site for Barratt’s proposed £8.3million estate.
