POPULAR author Margaret Dickinson has released The Clippie Girls, her 20th novel with Pan Macmillan, and is celebrating this fantastic achievement with an extensive local signing tour.
She has enjoyed extensive support for her work across East Yorkhire over the last 20 years.
Margaret is a Top 20 bestselling author and has sold over half a million books in the UK.
She is one of the UK’s most successful saga writers having published 30 novels since the age of 25. Born in 1942 in Gainsborough, Margaret has spent most of her life in Lincolnshire. She now spends her time between her writing retreat in the Derbyshire Dales and her home in Skegness.
She has been married to her husband Dennis for 47 years. She met Dennis at the age of 16 and they have been together ever since. They have two grown-up daughters and two grandchildren.
The Clippie Girls is a heart-warming romance novel, telling the story of two sisters working as ‘clippies’ on the trams in wartime Sheffield.
