Bugthorpe will hold a special Open Studios and Family Fun event on Saturday, which will see the re-launch of the ‘Three Graces’ montage.
In 2010, 53 Yorkshire artists joined in an art challenge, where they were each given a piece of a mystery picture to reproduce in their chosen media.
It was pieced together to make a huge montage of Antonio Pauletti’s The Three Graces, which was unveiled at an art exhibition in Bugthorpe’s St Andrew’s Church. It went on to be displayed at various locations and raised £1500 for the five Bugthorpe amenities.
It has since been in storage but it will now go on permanent display at artist Melissa Jackson’s Ceramics studio in Bugthorpe for Saturday’s event.
She said: “It’s fantastic to have it back on display in Bugthorpe, it’s a true artistic spectacle with all the different media and styles involved.”
Other studios that will open include watercolour master Robert Crow and the Make n Take ceramics studio.
