Antiques column: Excitement growing for next sale

The next Chris Clubley and Co sale is tomorrow, starting at 1pm.

Viewing is the day of sale from 10am. The sale includes a large collection of jewellery.

The section includes a ladies 9ct gold fob watch, a solid 9ct gold bracelet, numerous earrings, rings and one full sovereign.

The china section of the sale includes a large quantity of Royal Dux figures, a number of Lilliput lane and other cottages, a quantity of Royal Doulton Dickens ware and Royal Crown Derby paperweights.

Various tea and dinner services will also go under the hammer.

The glassware section sees a collection of late 18th century and earlier wine glasses.

Glassware also includes a Murano centre bowl and various glass mushrooms.

Miscellaneous lots in the sale includes a late 19th century violin, various items of brassware, a small quantity of model railway items, a Spanish musket, two dolls houses and a streetlamp lighter’s post.

Furniture in the sale sees a light elm Ercol sideboard, a later 19th/ early 20th century sideboard, an early 20th century pine dresser, an early 19th brass face grandfather clock, a set of eight Victorian dining chairs, a Victorian dressing table, an early 20th century walnut frame sofa and a mid-20th teak roll top desk.

Outside lots include a stone bird bath, various garden tools, mobility scooters, general furniture and white goods.

Plants also feature within the outside lots and include box balls, hawthorn and beech hedging.
