Pocklington Arts Centre provided the venue for Pocklington Flower Club’s Christmas Demonstration by international flower designer, Andrew Grisewood, entitled ‘A Touch of Fantasy’.

The demonstration had been sold out for a number of weeks before the performance, such is the draw of this talented arranger and, of course, the venue.

The club were delighted to have Janet Hayton, President of NAFAS, as their guest of honour.

Andrew entertained the audience with amazing designs, dialogue and music to depict the magical world of Christmas, transporting them to places as far a part as Lapland and Venice. This was a truly memorable evening and the club would like to thank Andrew and Ollie for making the evening so enjoyable, the Arts Centre for providing the venue and the staff for their hard work and cooperation and, of course, to those attending.

The next flower club meeting will be a Christmas workshop on 8 December at Woldgate College at 7.30pm. New members and guests will be very welcome.

For anyone who missed out on this demonstration, Andrew will be at Langlands Garden Centre on 3rd December at 7pm. Tickets are £10 to include drinks and nibbles and are available from Langlands.
