Farmer Andrew Wilkinson is hoping to raise more funds for Cancer Research UK with his amazing tractor.

Hayton farmer Andrew Wilkinson is appearing with his LED tractor at a number of events over the next few weeks to raise funds for charity.

He has dedicated the creation to his late father and hopes to raise money for Cancer Research UK. The to-scale model tractor is based on the John Deere 6820 vehicle that Andrew drives.

It took him four months to build the metal frame and eight full days of wiring to construct the 11,000 LED lights.

The wiring is two miles’ long and includes 8,000 tie wraps.

Andrew said: “ It is 12 years ago that my dad David died of cancer and my partner Emma’s grandad Tom died two years ago. This is a dedication to them. I have raised almost £5,000 over the last two years.”
