The 2015 Journal Ladies’ Day at Beverley Racecourse has been attended by more than 10,000 people.
Organisers said it was a friendly atmosphere with many features bigger and better than ever.
Performing for the first time were acappella singing group The Tootsie Rollers, who are regulars at bigger racetracks such as Royal Ascot and Goodwood.
“They couldn’t believe how friendly people were in Beverley compared to Ascot,” said marketing manager Kate Mckee.
She said: “The weather has been amazing. We are so lucky. There was a grey cloud hanging overhead at lunchtime but it moved on very quickly.”
Among the new features this year were rickshaws transporting people up York Road to the racetrack from the Rose and Crown pub, as well as portable loos on the Westwood.
There were also new sponsors, including Mercedes-Benz, who sponsored the award for most-stylish gent.
