Beverley’s Manor Nursery School has started the new term with a new headteacher.
Mrs Brigid Johnstone says she is enjoying getting to know pupils, and working with staff, parents and the wider community.
“I am really enjoying it. It is a privilege to be working in an outstanding school like this and I am looking forward to further developing the school with my team,” she said.
Mrs Johnstone, who was born in Ireland, was previously deputy headteacher at Pocklington Infant School. Before that she was assistant head teacher at Hallgate School in Cottingham, after working as a teacher at South Cave Primary School.
