A FUNDRAISING trio are feeling out of this world after completing their first Moonwalk.
Clare Adrian and Gemma Wallace, from Holme-on-Spalding Moor, and Alison Dunham, from Market Weighton, travelled to Edinburgh to take part in the Moonwalk, which is a 26.2 mile power-walk in and around the Scottish capital, to raise money for breast cancer.
The trio were among thousands of other fundraisers who did the walk.
Clare said: “Thousands of women, and some men, wore decorated bras and set off at midnight for an amazing night.
“Along the route many famous places were decorated in pink, including Edinburgh castle and the people of Edinburgh came out into the streets and encouraged us along the route.
“It was really tough in places, especially up the hills and having no sleep, but you thought of why you were doing the walk and it gave you the strength to carry on.
“We were so proud to cross the finish line, what an amazing achievement.”
Between them, they managed to raise over £1,000.
l Meanwhile, anyone from the region taking part in the Bridlington Race for Life this weekend is being asked to make themselves known to Pocklington Post photographer Roger Pattison, who will be at the event.
