The sessions will probably take place on a Sunday and Monday when the hall is not booked, although the actual days will depend upon the availability of the Pfizer vaccine.

A spokesman said: “There is no catchment area as such but invitations will go out within a radius of 50 miles around Market Weighton.

“Clients will then have a choice of venues – possibly as many as five.

“Bookings for vaccination will be handled by the NHS online system with allocated time slots for the three vaccination stations within the hall.

“Car parking is not anticipated to be a problem as clients will be invited to attend at specified times and only a limited number of additional cars should be using the car park at any one time.

“There is, however, bound to be some increase in the number of vehicles using Station Road and residents have been advised.

“The NHS are expected to provide direction signs both on the approaches to the town and within the town itself and additional parking on the Londesborough Road public car park and elsewhere in the town will be available.”
