The Market Weighton School takes delivery of a laser cutter for its design technology department.

The Market Weighton School has taken delivery of a laser cutter after two years of fundraising.

Headteacher Richard Harrison said the school had received many donations from the production of PPE visors during the first lockdown, together with £1,166 from the Tesco community fund.

Mr Harrison said: “The laser cutter will bring our design technology department led by Mrs Oldfield into the 21st Century, allowing students to use computer aided manufacture methods within their GCSE projects.

“Everyone at The Market Weighton School would like to express their thanks to everyone who supported the fundraising campaign.”
