Pocklington Town Council taking legal action to remove travellers from West Green site

Pocklington Town Council is currently going through a legal process to remove a group of travellers from West Green.

The travellers gained access to West Green, owned by the council, on Friday (June 25).

The travellers arrived at the community site, owned by the council, on Friday (June 25).

A spokesman for Pocklington Town Council said: “The mayor has spoken to the travellers.

“The council is currently going through the legal process of removing the travellers from West Green.

The travellers gained access to West Green, owned by the council, on Friday (June 25).

“This will take some time so we ask residents to be patient while the legal process is undertaken.”
