A Pocklington-based company is sponsoring a wellbeing week which is helping to support patients with secondary breast cancer.
Power Health Products Ltd, which is situated on the Airfield Estate, is sponsoring the first Make 2nds Count Wellbeing Week (running from Monday, June 21 to Friday, June 25).
Make 2nds Count is a UK-wide charity giving hope to patients with secondary breast cancer and help to families affected by this incurable cancer.
The charity was founded by Lisa Fleming following her own diagnosis of secondary breast cancer and will have raised £1million by the end of 2021.
Lisa said: “Make 2nds Count was founded to support patients with secondary breast cancer and puts them at the heart of everything we do.
“We are super grateful to Power Health Ltd for its support and look forward to working together with its amazing team who are credible in the work they have carried out for so many years as a family.”
Power Health is a family-run company and has been manufacturing and supplying high-quality supplements for more than 40 years.
Danny Penrose at Power Health said: “We are very excited to be sponsoring the first Make 2nds Count Wellbeing Week.
“Power Health wanted to contribute towards a good cause, having had employees affected by cancer and being a health and wellness company we believe that it will be a good opportunity.”
