SATURDAY 3 SEPTEMBER

Rose and Ray’s Coffee Morning, 2 The Paddock, Wilberfoss, 10am-12pm. Bacon butties, cake, tea, coffee etc. In aid of John the Baptist Church. £1 entry.

Coffee morning, 18 Kingsway, Stamford Bridge, 10am-12pm. In aid of Stamford Bridge In Bloom.

Coffee morning, Millington Village Hall, 10am-1pm. Including various stalls.

Coffee morning and book stall, Pocklington Arts Centre, 10am.

Catton Village Show, Low Catton showground, 1.30pm. Victorian and Edwardian theme. Villagers, led by Mr. Pickwick and Fagin, will parade in coach and horses, on horseback and on foot from High Catton at 1pm, to open proceedings at 1.30pm. High quality local produce, crafts and cookery will be on show, plus there’s a photographic competition and children’s sports together with a dog and pet show. There will also be several interesting local trade exhibitors and a jazz band. Fun, food and entertainment for all the family and only £1 to enter. Pocklington Ramblers: meet Whitby West Cliff Lift Top, 10am, for a 12-mile walk.

Pocklington Ramblers: meet Hole of Horcum car park, 10am, for a 10-mile walk.

Jack’s party in the car park, The Fleece Inn, 6pm-12am. Live music starting with a duo Tytus Crow, followed by five bands: Something Nasty in the Woodshed, A Band called Eric, Mexican Blackbirds and The Mojo’s. There will also be a mini beer festival, with various guest ales, a hog roast, barbecue and raffle. £20 per ticket (reserved) OR £25 on the night in aid of The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.
