OVER a hundred youngsters took to the stage to perform a Hans Christian Andersen production, which attracted sell out crowds.
Children at Stamford Bridge Primary School, aged 7-11, had spent about eight weeks preparing for the production which was made up with several Andersen stories including Thumbelina, The Little Mermaid and The Emperor’s New Clothes.
They performed the production four times, twice in front of a sell-out crowd of 120 people, containing parents and special guests. The other two performances were also well supported
A school spokesperson said: “The children enjoyed it and worked very hard.
“The costumes and scenery provided were outstanding.”
The costumes worn by the children were provided by parents with the help of staff at the school.
