Residents urged to clear out their clutter

LIFSETYLERS are looking to clear their villages from clutter- and want residents to get involved.

Ashley Walsh, Jordanne Kay and Alyssa Cope are all 11 and 12 years-old, and are arranging two car boot sales over the next two weekends as part of the summer Lifestyle Challenge. People can either have a stall at the sales, or donate unwanted items for sale. The money raised will go back towards the community group.

The first sale will be at 1A Cherry Drive in Holme-on-Spalding Moor this Saturday, 6 August, with another at 1 Sandsfield Avenue, Shiptonthorpe on 13 August. Both start at 10am.

Adult supervisor for the group, Lynette Cope, said: “This is great way to support a community event and a community group, recycle unwanted items and hopefully make a little cash in the process. It will be a fantastic opportunity for people to have a summer clear out without having to load up the car and travel to the nearest car boot.”
