ABOUT 100 people turned up for Stamford Bridge Parish Council’s annual over-60s party.
The senior citizens were treated to a fun-filled day where they were waited on by parish councillors serving afternoon tea.
As well as catering for their appetites, the event, in its sixth year, provided the party-goers with activities such as dancing to the ‘Take 3’ band and a raffle with prizes including fruit baskets, chocolates and cosmetics.
The special guest for this year’s event was Kay West, chairman of East Riding Council.
Coun Barbara Tate said: “Considering how bad the weather was, we were pleased to get such a good turn out.
“Everybody was most appreciative. It’s a nice break between Christmas and Easter for them.”
