Driffield Showground will be holding its first Beer Festival on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 November.

With over 30 different beers and ciders from which to choose, festival goers will be spoilt for choice and there is bound to be something on offer to quench every taste.

As well as great drinks, the festival will also boast a fantastic line up of live music including performances from The Alligators and The Supermodels to keep drinkers entertained throughout the evenings.

For competitive festival goers there will be the opportunity to enter the Sausage Eating Challenge.

The Challenge will take place at 6.00pm each evening and will offer ten visitors the opportunity to become the Driffield Beer Festival Sausage Challenge Champion.

Entry for the Beer Festival is £7 and includes half a pint of beer or cider and a festival programme.

Plus, for early birds, the first 250 through the door on each day will also receive a souvenir pint glass.

A refreshments van will also be on hand to make sure no one goes hungry and delicious locally produced pork scratchings and Biltong, a beef snack that is delicious with beer, will also be available.

The Beer Festival doors will open at 4pm until 11pm on Friday, 1 November and 1pm until 11pm on Saturday, 2 November.

Car parking at the event is free and, for those wanting the full festival experience, camping is available all weekend for only £10 per pitch.
