Academy students from a dance school in Shiptonthorpe have been invited to perform on a West End stage in London.

The dancers from Starbrite Studios are overjoyed at being invited to Her Majesty’s Theatre, which plays host to Phantom of the Opera.

Kirstie Wood, Starbrite Studios manager, said: “The students are regularly invited to attend various exiting events including Miss Dance in Blackpool, A workshop with Twist and Pulse held in March at the Studios, classes with Andy Instone from Urban strides, Ballet with Michael Berkin from Northern Ballet and the Royal Ballet as well as dancing alongside Tim Noble, choreographer to Cheryl Cole and Kylie Minogue.”

The students have been tasked to raise money to help fund the trip.
