Popular comedian David Baddiel has tweeted about it his performance at Pocklington Art Centre, saying how much he enjoyed the evening.

David brought his first solo show for 15 years, called ‘Fame: Not The Musical’, to the Pocklington venue last Thursday, and performed to a sold out crowd.

After the event, he tweeted: “Thanks @gemmachapman9 @harrythebarber @DavidaoBray and all else for kind words re gig at @PocklingtonArts last night. Most enjoyable it was.”

David is the latest of many big name acts to have performed at Pocklington Arts Centre over the years.

This year, the venue will be welcoming several more star names, such as comedian Lee Nelson, who is coming to the venue on 17 April.

Performance poet John Cooper Clarke will be taking to the Arts Centre stage on 23 May. Tickets for this event have already sold out.

Former Liberal Democrats leader Lord Paddy Ashdown is heading to Pocklington on 8 July, while three times Grammy nominated musician Joan Armatrading will be in town on 20 and 29 September. Both shows have sold out.
