A team of Stamford Bridge cricketers, made up of a mix of year five and year six pupils, played in a kwik cricket tournament in Market Weighton.
They played, and beat, a number of teams from around the area by at least 30 runs in every match.
Captain Matthew Ainley helped his team by hitting about a dozen sixes. Coach Patrick Durkin did a spectacular job of encouraging and guiding his team through the tournament.
In the final, they were against Barmby Moor and beat them comfortably, thanks to the bowling of Daniel Robertson.
They are now through to the semi-finals, which are to be held in Beverley on 15 June.
Mrs Fitzhenry, deputy head, accompanied the team and commented on their excellent behaviour and team spirit.
