Rain prevents play

A sodden outfield prevented any pre-season practice games taking place at Woodhouse Grange Cricket Club this weekend.

Amongst the casualties was the match for the League President’s Trophy between Woodhouse Grange (2011 league champions) and Sessay (2011 cup winners). This match has been rearranged for next Sunday, 22 April, with a 1.30pm start.

The previous day the league season starts with Woodhouse fielding three sides in the York Senior Cricket League for the first time.

The first team is away to Goole Town in the premier division, the newly-promoted second team starts its division three programme with a game at home to Ripon, while the third team hosts Pocklington seconds in division six. All three matches start at 12.30pm.
