Pock School boys get the county call-up

TWO Pocklington School pupils have been selected to play for Yorkshire Schools Cricket Association (YSCA).

Third year pupil James Hanley will play for the Under-14 1st XI in a number of games across the country, representing Yorkshire.

His first match for the team was against Staffordshire on Monday, 30 May and his season finishes with the County Cup Finals in mid-August.

Tom Loten, a first year pupil, will play for the Under-12 Yorkshire squad.

His season has also started, on Wednesday 1 June, with a match against Cheshire.

He finishes with a match against Heavy Woollen at Liversedge CC at the end of August.
