NPOC - Pock pilgrims v Bolton and Norton

Pocklington Pilgrims 50

Malton & Norton 17

The Pilgrims had an entertaining run around at Percy Road, beating Malton & Norton 50-17 to get back to winning ways and consolidate their place at the top of the East Riding Clubs division two merit table.

Both sides had seen their scheduled opponents call off and so rearranged late in the week.

Malton arrived short handed and were bolstered by a quartet of Pilgrim replacements who made a major contribution.

The Pilgrims were always in the ascendancy with strong running back Kenny Strangeway leading the scoring stakes with a clutch of touchdowns.

The only downside for the Pilgrims was that one of their players broke his collarbone and had to be taken to hospital.
