SUPERMARKET staff gave it their best shot when they held a pool match at a local pub for charity.
All staff from the Co-operative store on George Street, Pocklington, took part in the match at the Black Bull pub in Market Place.
The workers split themselves into two teams and played nine frames of pool on the night.
They also held a raffle and had supper at the pub.
The event, which raised £120, was held for Mencap, a charity which supports people with learning difficulties.
Mike Gledhill, who works at the Co-operative store, said: “Each year Co-op sponsors a charity and this year it is Mencap.
“I would like to thank the managers and staff at the Black Bull. They were very kind to put on a supper.
“We were very pleased with how the evening went. It went better than expected.
“My wife Catherine was the brainchild behind it. She organised it.”
