The Panthers qualified for the Yorkshire Merit Eastern Conference play-offs with an emphatic victory away to local rivals Selby.
The Panthers success was built on the foundation of a solid scrummage and some strong defence, with the trying scoring swinging between forwards and backs.
Fullback Harry Jackson raced over for the first try of the day, followed by ebullient prop Jack O’Hara who also threw in a yellow card for good measure.
Recent convert to rugby Gareth Micklethwaite showed his pace on the wing by sprinting in and with Jackson kicking a conversion and a penalty the Panthers were well placed at 20-6 at the break.
It was end to end stuff in the second half but the Panthers always looked in control.
Flanker Brooke Waudby waltzed over when Selby knocked on, fly half Tim Bennett carved through to the line and wing Micklethwaite again outpaced the cover for a second try.
The Panthers finished on a high note as prop Matt Greenwood made a late charge and No 8 Shane Sellers was in support to cross against his old club.
Jackson completed the scoring with another of the goals.
