Holme Rovers JFC has received a helping hand from local McDonald’s franchisee,
Mike O’Reilly who has provided the club with a new football kit.
Mike, who owns the McDonald’s restaurant at Shiptonthorpe has stepped in to support the club as part of McDonald’s Community Football programme.
The programme looks to improve standards within the grassroots game by providing equipment and training in partnership with the FA.
The sponsorship will see the clubs under-8s, gain a new distinctive sky blue playing shirt.
Commenting on the donation, Mike said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside our community members and I’m thrilled that we are able to support Holme Rovers in this way.
I wish the team every success. McDonald’s has been working with the FA on grassroots football for many years providing local clubs with kits and equipment and helping thousands of people to gain coaching qualifications.”
Gemma Bromley of Holme Rovers added: “This is great news for Holme Rovers and we look forward to a long and successful relationship with McDonald’s.
“The kids really love their new kit.
“As a new team we really appreciate the support of McDonald’s at Shiptonthorpe who have also supplied us with some footballs and water bottles.”
