Blustery conditions hinder Eagles

York Mitchell Sports League under-10s Div 1B

Easingwold0

Pocklington Eagles0

This was an entertaining game in blustery conditions which made it hard for both teams to control the ball and pass.

Early Easingwold possession needed strong resistance at the back. Pressure from a throw-in led to an Easingwold handball on the edge of the area, with Will blasting the free-kick narrowly over.

Easingwold looked dangerous on the break and it needed a fantastic tackle by Tommy to stop them getting through.

A long goal kick looked to have put Matty through but his first touch took him a little too wide and he only managed to win a corner.

The second half started with more strong running from Will, ghosting past two defenders before putting in a fierce shot which unfortunately was straight at the keeper.

Easingwold started to come back into the game and won a corner on the left. It needed a fine save from Sam from point-blank range to keep the scores level. Another fine effort from Will went just wide of the post.

As the match moved towards the final few minutes Easingwold again started to attack and it required a good save from Sam with his feet to keep the scores level.
