Friday 16 May saw Pocklington Town FC’s senior section gather at the KP Club for it’s annual dinner and presentation evening.

Hosted again by committee member Rob Kunkel, the evening was a celebration for all of the players and staff who have contributed to the four Saturday teams and the Under-18s and Under-19s Academy sides over the 2013-14 campaign.

The senior sponsors - Marshal Tyres, Yara and Wheelies - were all thanked for their financial support as the club could not run without this help.

The club would like to thanks Gebs and the staff at the social club for their hospitality over the season, physio John Beevers for all of his work in helping injured players recover as quickly as possible, the committee without whom none of the football would be possible and also all of the managers and volunteers who have contributed to providing football for all of the 15 teams across all age groups and abilities at the club every weekend for the last 10 months.

A special mention must go to long-serving senior managers Pete Suggitt, Andy Ball and Ian Serginson, who have announced their retirement after many seasons running the club’s York Divison 1 and Driffield league teams.

All at the club would like to wish them all the success for their future endeavours and hope that they can fully enjoy their Saturday afternoons off from now on.
